Easter Eggs: Obsessive Creative Disorder Style

 He is risen!

I am so thankful to know the true reason for this great holiday!

However, one of my favorite parts about Easter is coloring eggs... :)

They were also so wonderfully provided by our hens.   :)

Here are a few of the techniques I tried out...

Rubber Bands

Band the eggs.
The more rubber bands, the cooler it looks.

Let it sit in they dye for a few
minutes and take off the bands.

Dunk in another color for more effects.

Elastic

Tie an elastic band around the egg.

Let sit in the dye for a few minutes.
Take out and let the egg rest.
The elastic leaves a cool ridge effect when left on long enough.

Masking Tape

Cut out a design in the tape.
See the hearts below. :)

Dip and double dip as you see fit!

Bubble Wrap

Drip blotches of food coloring on a
square piece of bubble wrap.

Wrap and bind with a rubber band.
Let sit for 10 minutes.

First round leaves a more blotchy effect.

Second round has more dots. :)

The Hearts.
